Testing, debugging and final assembly

Automated optical inspection

Fully populated PCBs we inspect on automated optical inspection tester (AOI) PowerSpector, from Marantz. This AOI facilitates soldering quality inspection on PCBs with maximum size 350 x 250 mm. AOI inspection capabilities:
  • soldering quality check is conducted in all three axis – the device supports measurement of chip components co-planarity, which significantly improves the test process precision, reliability and repeatability.
  • AOI with great margin tests the component presence/absence, type, polarity, co-planarity, rotation, offset, shorts, lifted leads, failures of soldering paste, glue and presence of weird objects.
  • AOI detects soldering failures on SMT components and is greatly efficient in THT quality soldering inspection (including connectors) and bar code reading (OCV) as well.
  • AOI technical features ensure standartized soldering quality in mass production.
For each individual PCB we store AOI testing protocol in our internal database long term, which allows us to trace the soldering quality down to the component level backwards.

Manual optical inspection

For sample and prototype series we inspect PCB soldering quality under stereo optical microscopes Mantis or Lynx EVO. The customer receives in the phase of development fully inspected PCB, which shortens phase of failure debugging and verification of electronic units functionality.

Electrical testing and debugging

We carry out electrical testing and bootstrapping of individual PCBs as well as of complete electronic units, including internal firmware upload into device (test or production version). The testing we conduct according to the required test procedures whilst we utilize the fixtures or testers supplied by the customers. As an option we can create test procedure and fixtures in compliance with requested electrical functions and parameters of given device by ourselves. We perform testing of electrical withstanding up to 6kVDC/5kVAC, insulation resistence up to 9,5GΩ and ground bond testing on GPT-9000 tester from Gwinstek.

We mount successfully tested PCBs into final units, on demand we can connect wiring harnesses to PCBs. Fully functional products we pack into cartons, cases or containers for immediate shipment to the end customer.
